Dr. Airuehia began his psychiatry training at the West Midlands School of Psychiatry in Birmingham, England, where he earned his Membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). He later moved to the United States, completing a general psychiatry residency and advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Missouri Columbia, followed by board certification in addiction medicine. He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and an Honorary Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
With extensive experience in Nigeria, England, and the United States, Dr. Airuehia offers culturally-informed, evidence-based care for mental health conditions and substance use disorders in adults. His commitment to professional development includes staying updated through his affiliations with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Airuehia also contributes to academic psychiatry by mentoring and teaching medical professionals and publishing research. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cycling, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
