"I was really struggling at the beginning of January 2025 and didn’t know where to turn to get the help I desperately needed. My mom had compiled a list of therapy centers and providers, and Reflections immediately stood out to me because of their website and passionate reviews. My experience since then has been nothing short of excellent.
I called and scheduled my initial assessment with Whitney, who was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and providing detailed information. After completing the assessment, it became clear that I needed to begin PHP as soon as possible. Taking that step into healing was terrifying. It felt like pressing “pause” on reality, but I truly believe we all need to take that leap when it calls. I had my assessment on a Tuesday and began PHP the following Monday.
I was extremely nervous about being in a group therapy setting, but it has turned out to be the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I’ve always struggled to put myself first and to make my voice heard, but through PHP with Amy, I overcame so many internal obstacles. I also connected with individuals from all walks of life, including different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. We found common ground in our shared healing process. The Psych Education portion of the program was equally powerful. That’s where so much of the real progress happens. Amy was an incredible therapist and teacher, and she played a monumental role in my journey.
Within my first week of treatment, I was connected with my one-on-one therapist, Denise, an SMU intern finishing her degree to become a licensed therapist. Her background in counseling and career development made her a perfect fit. I can’t praise her enough. She helped me confront and understand some of my deepest wounds. While these may always leave scars, I now have the tools, coping strategies, and communication skills to navigate daily life. I’ve learned that pain can be understood, managed, and eventually healed.
After completing PHP, I transitioned to IOP, where I worked with Kaitlin. She was absolutely wonderful—understanding, open, and receptive to a dynamic group setting. Therapy isn’t easy; it’s often triggering and emotional. But Kaitlin guided us through it with compassion and accountability, ensuring that everyone got the most out of their experience.
I also saw Dr. Vu for psychiatric care and medication management. I plan to continue seeing her after graduating from the program. She listens, respects your boundaries, and ensures you receive the care that’s best for you without ever pushing unnecessary treatments.
I also want to give a special shoutout to the best receptionist—Ben! He supported me during Reflect, helped with paperwork and administrative tasks, and always kept the snack area fully stocked. He is truly a kind and helpful soul, and I’m so grateful for his presence.
I can't say enough good things about Reflections. If you or someone you know is struggling, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Without the selfless team here, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’ve struggled for years, and this program helped me realize I wasn’t really living—I was just surviving. Reflections changed that for me. I’ve already started one-on-one therapy with Stasia, who has been fantastic so far, and I’ll soon begin couples therapy with Kiasi."
